CIG’s core business is investment services and brokerage to institutions and individuals. This can include most types of public securities and debt instruments as well as proprietary investment opportunities offered through CIG’s investment banking division. Revenue is generated primarily from commissions earned from securities transactions, RIA fees, investment banking services and trading of securities invested for CIG’s own account.

Trading – Similar to other broker dealers, CIG executes trades for its own account. Trading is not related to the Company’s investment banking or brokerage business. CIG utilizes a disciplined equity investment approach to trade for its own account. Most of CIG’s proprietary trading is focused on buying and selling preferred securities of public companies.
